That big Moz Local Announcement? Yeah, they have actually shut down Moz Local and are now whitelabeling a similar service from Uberall

Moz is changing! And their changes are quite unexpected. We thought, based on the information they provided previously, that Moz Local might be expanding with new features. This is partly true. What’s really happening, however, is that Moz Local is greatly downsizing.

Moz Local and Uberall

Here’s the real story with the new Moz Local: Moz Local is essentially Uberall (more on this later) in a different package. Furthermore, Moz Local is no longer offering the listings services they used to. This is a massive change to how their platform used to work.

The new Moz Local is fairly easy to use. You’re able to check your online presence in three countries: the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. You’ll include your business information to include company name, street address, and zip code.

The point is for your company to be properly listed in all major online directories. Moz Local will make sure your company is listed correctly in the following directories:

  • Google Search
  • Google Maps
  • Facebook
  • Bing
  • Foursquare
  • Factual
  • Hotfrog
  • us-info
  • ShowMeLocal
  • Navmii

Check out the photo below which details these directories.

And here’s what the old Moz Local looked like:

As mentioned before, Moz Local is essentially working as Uberall. What is Uberall, exactly? At its core, Uberall is an SEO-boosting service. It works by letting companies post their information online and acquire new customers, among other things.

The new Moz Local works the same way. What’s next for Moz Local? Get the latest updates about the platform, as well as other Local SEO information right here.
