Local Businesses Can Now Sell Gift Cards and Collect Donations Directly from Google My Business Profiles
Google’s local platform, Google My Business, which displays content on Google Maps and inside of Google’s search results has rolled out a new feature to try and help businesses stay open during the global pandemic. The new feature is called “Support Links” and it has two separate options.
Gift Card Sales
Merchants, restaurants, and other local businesses can sell gift cards to their business by directing users to a gift card page on their website via the Google My Business Profile.
Donations
Local businesses can gain donations by setting up a donation request via either of Google’s two current partners: PayPal or GoFundMe
